Theresa Carter is a native of Santa Barbara and studied art at Santa Barbara City College and UCSB. Working primarily in acrylics and oils, she draws her inspiration from the natural and the man-made world. Influenced by architecture and man-made structures, she enjoys painting geometric abstracts. The natural world leads her to impressionistic botanicals, landscapes, and animal portraiture.
